Life can present many challenges; relationships end, you experience an unexpected job loss or financial difficulties, loss of a loved one, illness and the list goes on. It can be difficult to see beyond the current circumstances and you might feel as though the walls are closing in. It's during those times that you need support, guidance and tools to overcome challenges in a healthy way.
In some cases the past must be confronted and processed to gain closure and allow for space to create the life you want. Negative experiences can lead to self-destructive patterns, causing turmoil and re-traumatization. You’ve already survived but healing is necessary in order to thrive in life.
Therapy is an active process and is often referred to as "doing the work." Your active participation is required for success. Working on personal growth and healing is a rewarding experience but can be painful at times. Clients sometimes feel worse before feeling better; however, if you are willing to push through the discomfort you will make progress.

During your first appointment I will assist you with completing the initial paperwork while gathering information about you and your needs. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss any concerns about therapy. Developing rapport with your therapist can take time but asking questions about the therapeutic process and being open and honest about your concerns can help to establish a collaborative relationship.
Whether it's helping you work through past unresolved issues, trauma, abuse, or confronting a current challenge; I'll create a tailored treatment approach to help you move forward in life and get back to enjoying the things that matter. I look forward to meeting you!
